Come and share (hi)story, games and taste at Manoir de la Cour
During European Heritage Days, the Manoir de la Cour reveals Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th September, from 10.00 am to 6.30 pm
Discover life of the lords of Asnières during shorts tours about different themes:
- Medieval flavours :
“Carmeline sauce”, “rôts”, “hypocras”… Tastes of yesterday mix with the charm of the visit for you !
- The Manoir de La Cour at Modern Times :
Place of seigniorial power, residence of the Lords and smallholding : during these past eight centuries, the Manoir de la Cour has lived one thousand and one lifes ! Come and discover them !
- The manor ‘s architecture:
The Manoir de la Cour is a perfect example of medieval manor with a porch. The Manor has atypical architecture with his tower and his light misalignement. Break the mystery of the manor during the visit!
- Spices road
Our ancestors appreciated a lot of spices. Cinnamon and cloves were served on the medieval table. Spices gave taste to dishes, they were used like a medical treatement. They also had a symbolic power during the Middle Ages. Follow the spices road to discover their secrets!
Each visit will take place twice a day :
- Medieval flavours : 10.30 am / 2.30 pm
- The Manoir de La Cour at Modern Times : 11.30 am / 3.30 pm
- The manor ‘s architecture : 12.30 am / 4.30 pm
- Spices road : 1.30 pm / 5.30 pm
Fee for the visit : 1€
Opening hours : from 10.00 am to 6.30 pm
During all the weekend :
Be part of the Photobooth event, located on the first floor : you will be able to bring home some funny pictures taken with your mobile phone !
Test your knowledge of the Manoir de La Cour playing with some little paper pots and pans and let yourself be tempted by old games in wood !
The bar, La Halte du chanoine, is still open !
